Just got the new American Snowmobiler and they are moving the shootout to Martin Speedway in August. They will have both asphalt and grass races. Who's up for a get together.

Let Motionman and I know when asap. I am taking a boat trip up the chain of lakes from Conway to Cheboygan the end of the first full week of August. I hope we can make it.

As always John, it dosent take to much wrist twisting to get me together with a bunch of sledders

Also it is never to early to start thinking about the 2nd Annual Michigan DOOTalk Wrench and BBQ.

i'll be there wrenching on one of the asphalt racers sleds. it is a blast. like the second annual bbq meet n greet idea too. ski

Marked your calendars for August 19 & 20th, to attend this race. Last year was a great time and for those of you that were there history was made on the Asphalt side.....when Jeff Simons Yamaha Turbo went 7.97 @ 170mph in 1/4 mile!!

Hope to be on my bracket sled at this race if not maybe I'll race one of Simons Turbo sleds again!

Craig and I got a chance to ride and talk with Mark Boncher, Associate Editor from Am Snow when we were in Munising.

I'll check with the boss...Maybe we could do something really big with the two sights.

I was there,that 170 mph run was COOL,will be there again yhis year.That dragway is only 20 minutes from home,real nice place.

Sounds good to me, Martin is not too far from me so it is an easy drive. If anyone near Holland/Grand Rapids area wants a ride I can fit 8 easy. I will put it on the clander right now. If anyone needs a place to stay you can stay at my house. John, do you plan on one or two days? I can bring my trailer to sleep in if needed. Otherwise it is close enough to drive back and forth. If you are from way out of town or state you are welcome to stay at my place for free, we can drive back and forth, it is about 1/2 an hour from my house.

Will be there with bells on!!

i live about 2-2 1/2 hours away is it worth driving out there that far we have drag races all the time here asphalt but not to many grass... thanks

The dragway is on US131 halfway between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.exit 55 I belive.
