I'll be arriving at Grand Marais Friday around noon or 1 pm. But I'm there to ride off trail, boondock and look for the best snow. I can eat and drink any day. I go up to ride. It looks like you will be mostly on trail to get from place to place.
Is anyone interested in off trail? I know the area good enough to get us lost, stuck and run out of fuel, (just kidding, we won't be lost)
Who is up for that.......2002MXZ600, brs2002, jbass, iambill, Doug (are you on here yet) ............. Bueller...............Bueller????

I'm out. I'm going to the Keweenaw instead. I'm not interested in a trail ride. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, its just that I have more fun off trail.
I made a few calls this morning and the guys I know in the Keweenaw say this was one the biggest storms they have had in many years. I'd like to ride with you guys, but I can't pass this up. Take a look at these 2 maps. Now who's up for 55" of snow on the ground?

How much further is Keewanaw from G.M. ? We are leaving around noon or so on Friday. So the least amount of driving time would be best. Is there a place to stay up there?

Boot Lake bar is about 5-7 miles south of Shingleton on Trail 41. Jack Pine is about 14 miles south of Shingleton on Trail 41 also.
Getting to the deep snow from GM is about another 3 hour drive it the roads are clear.
