Transformer
Looks like a stock location and if you have a large end to plug in for the GPS or Phone cord the plug is out of the way instead of standing up above your console.

Easy to install and perfect if you don't have any or only one (temp or fuel) gage.
The right side is perfect because you only need a short 6" wire connection.
If you decide to add a second gage later, you can always re-drill the hole out larger for your larger gage diameter and move the 12V power outlet to the console like Ski Doo recommends

Simply drill out the center with a 1 1/8" drill bit.
Don't push to hard and go to deep, just enough to cut through the plastic.

You need two wires just about 6" long. I used black and red. Then connect one male end wire connector and one female end wire connector to each of the wires. Tie them together with electrical tape or plastic to make it cleaner looking. I do not have a electrical schematic, but I was told by others on dootalk that the wire being connected to goes through the fuse panel. But, you can get an inline fuse holder with enough wire to hook up the outlet at Radio Shack for under $3 if you want to be extra safe.

Connect the femal ends of the wires to the 12V power outlet, there is a
very small (+) & (-) molded into the plastic on the 12V power outlet
next to the prongs.

Then feed the wires through the hole, put the plastic nut over the wires and tighten the nut down.

Then connect the male ends of the wires to the two female "plug" connections just above the antifreeze cap. It would be wise to find the male ends with plastic that covers them, in case they fall off. Don't want hot wires unprotected. If not, tape over them just in case.

Then connect the wires that are just above the antifreeze bottle cap and you are done.

In this pic, you can see the bottom of the 12V power outlet connection and the two wires they connect to in the REV wiring harness.

I am told the wires are DC.

Red-Yellow is power

Black is ground

No cutting of wires on your sled, no soldering.... cheers.gif
