I have a 96 mach 1 670 and its a bit sluggish when i get going. Its just right off idle it seems to be bogged a little bit. Its not a huge issue. Its not like it bogs down like its gonna die and its fine once i get over about 2k or so. It idles at 1500 rpm and its mainly if i give it 3/4 to full throttle right away. Its my second sled, and my first was a triple so idk if its normal and the triples just had a better throttle response then twins, but it just doesnt seem quite right to me. One thing i have noticed is that the plug wires are both different. They are both NGK wires, but the boots are clearly different so it could be that one was replaced. Could it be electrical related? the 2 things i was thinking of is maybe the carbs need to be tuned just a little or could it maybe be related to the reeds? Any ideas?

turn your idle up to 2000 and see what happens. i keep mine at 2000-2200. you dont have reeds thats a rotary valve engine. carbs might need a good cleaning also.ERIC

Is it a bog or a hesitation? These two are commonly mistaken for the same thing unfortunately. One means you are rich on the low end and the other means to lean!

How old is the gas in it? What about the belt? Is your belt deflection set properly?
