i was looking through the slednecks book and found myself interested in the Bomber series snowpants that supposidly chris burandt wears. i am in the market for some new pants but ASSUMED they would be expensive because of the name. but to my surprise they were comprable prices to skidoo or anything else i have been looking at. so are these things the real deal? are they warm? to they hold up? i havnt seen to many threads on here about slednecks stuff so im kinda wondering whats up with that. hows their other stuff? is alot of their stuff made for more active riders who are racing or jumping and what not? because im just the normal trail rider who wants to stay warm.

I have the bandit pants and jacket from last year and i found that alot ot the time i had to wear a lot of clothes underneath because it wasn't warm enough., but i was riding in -20 celsius without the windchill

yeah thats what im kind of thinking. that these guys are very active jumping and racing and all that so you wouldnt want something that was so warm that you would sweat.

My advice... Buy Videos from a video company... buy clothes from a clothing company.

I myself was wondering the same thing but went ahead and bought a pair of the defender pants and jacket. I recieved them yesterday and haven't had a chance to try them out. The pants seem very simular to my north face snow pants but the jacket will def. need something warm under it. They are both wind and water proof, and thats what I was looking for. I usually wear a underwarm winter wear shirt. (very warm) and a tshirt ot sweat shirt dep. on how I am riding. If you want pics or anything let me know I can take some later.

I could be mistaken but I believe slednecks is a clothing company that uses the videos to promote themselves.

I personally like a thin wind and waterproof outer layer that I can layer under depending on the weather. Much better than having heavy gear that you have to wear on a warmer day. I wear FXR cold cross pullover and the backshift race pants they work awesome.

I agree layering under a wind/waterproof shell is the way to go, nothing worse than wearing a heavy jacket all day sweating like crazy only for the sun to go down, and you are freezing because you are soaked! That being said the thigh/knee area should be pretty beefy as this is where you will get cold on your bottoms the fastest, I have BRP X-team bibs, and then depending on the day I will wear the following 661 Core Saver always, and then the layers could be a fleece, up to my BRP holeshot jacket, that would always be covered by my Klim Revolt wind/waterproof pullover.

I can tell you I have anything from hats, t-Shirts, Hoodies, and outerwear from them. All is very good qualtiy. They are an excellent company to deal with, great customer service. The layer method is what their intent is. Their primary focus is a clothing company that happens to make movies. Just my $.02

well i guess im kinda oly interested in the bomber series from the sounds of it that might be the warmest. i like to just go riding in an underarmour and a t-shirt when i can. but im in the market for the pants. i used to wear an old "edit for bad language" pair od snowboarding pants that were ripped so anything has to better then them. lol but i did get cold often

they started by making films and that is what has gotten their name out. Making movies is harder than making clothes. its not like ANY of these company's stitches their own jackets! its ALL made overseas, including the all mighty KLIM

509 is a film co. that happens to make some of the best googles on the planet I don't think in this case its an issue.
all those guys that ride in the movies do wear the gear in the backcountry.

its active wear, so if you only ride trails at high speed its probably not the best stuff for you.

layering regardless is the best way to dress for winter
