2005 800 Summit
Hey, I am looking into getting a pair of Scott 89xi Turbo goggles, I can't decide between the LS goggles, or the Amber Rose color. Anyone have a comparison for me? If it makes a difference, they will be used mostly for mountain riding. How are the LS goggles in sunny weather?

Thanks Guys.

I bought these but last years version and love them...couldn't find the one's you asked about on the Scott site? I also bought chrome lenses for them and they work great!

I have the scott 89xi turboflow ls and love them.In the daylight (sunny) the lens turns blue and really changes things and is sweet! If i have to get another pair of goggles i will get these again.

LS lenses by far. My goggles came with the AMP rose lense and it's bleh. Sure it's good, highlights things, but when I ride into the night, I would have to stop and change goggles or at least lenses. With the LS lenses I don't have to change either, the lenses are AMP blue in the sunlight, and when the sun goes down they turn clear. So I don't have to stop, I can just keep riding. I will never buy another pair of goggles unless I can get the LS lenses for them.

Thanks guys, those are the ones I was talking about, they are TurboFlows.

I have Rose lenses in my other goggles, and didn't mind them, just wondering if the LS goggles are any better. What do the LS goggles do in darker weather?

Thanks Again.

Sorry about asking about darker weather after seeing wreckless's post, we must have posted at the same time, and yours just made it before mine. Sounds like LS is the way to go.

In darker weather, they turn clear.Once night comes around the lens turns back to clear.Once sun is up, turns amp blue. There awesome!

The transitional LS lenses work great and will be perfect in bright sunny conditions. I have most models of Scott goggles in stock with all of the optional lenses. PM me if you would like some pricing

I have some and they don't work well with my Helmet. They are for sale, Brand new, just been out of the box for fitting. PM me if you would like them.

Lemme get this straight. The light sensitive actually work well in cold conditions and change from a tint to clear as conditions darken?

About how long does this take to happen? I know my regular prescription glasses take forever it seems in cold from going to bright sun to shaded and vice versa.

For instance if riding in open sunny fields then going into dark hemlock or pine treed woods riding do they make the transition quickly?

They change pretty quickly but they don't work well in lowlight conditions, like when it gets cloudy and overcast. I've got the LS and yellow lens' and neither work in lowlight conditions. I've heard good things about the polarized lens' and will get a backup pair of goggles with those on them.

Thanks!

I'll stick with my clear lenses and non-transition prescription for riding and let my pupils and visor do what they were designed to do.

So far for me they have worked the best in all conditions.
