Have noticed some guys are extending their rails to fit a 146" track and not installing a tunnel extension. Was thinking of doing this to mine for an upcoming trip out west, if I don't need to install the tunnel ext, but am not sure if it works well, clearance/rubbing etc. And does anyone know if a 2.25" lug track will clear the front plastic protector thing?

No you must remove the front plastic protection.....otherwise it will fit!

Sweet, thanks. Now I just have to find a good deal on a 146" track!
I believe I saw pics of your sled on one of these websites that you added the 146" to. If it wasn't you it was someone else from Wpg.

i got the 146x 16x 2.5 all in except for the skid, that goes in tonite, i had to file down the front protector ( should have taken the whole thing out). i see the 1 3/4" track was rubbing on the top of the tunnel, so it will be interesting to see how much this new track will rub, but it should move the snow just fine. biggrin.gif
