Start of another season for all of us passionate sled riders. WooooooHaaaaaaaa!! Ok thats how we all feel, snows accumulating and temps are droping. WE're gettin our sleds up to par in between work and family and thats a huge hype.
But what is the moment when you really feel the rush. Think about it. The moment when you get the feeling of overwhelming excitement and you get that permanent grin that says you are gonna go ride the beast today!!!
It all adds up to this for me. The day is planned, the sled is ready and the snow is there. Up early, a high carb breaky and food and drink for lunch prepared. The drive to where we unload is exciting enough.....but when I get really hyped is when I feel my heel slip into my stiff riding boots firmly......oh man what a feeling! Now I know the season has started.
I know ya all get it somewhere, tell us about it!!

I think the thing that will get me going this year is when I get my motor back from Big John!!

I think that moment is when the skis go "thawack" on the sled deck after climbing the steep ramp for the first time of the season. That shockwave seems to vibrate through the body and gets the adrenaline pumpin.

Working on the sled, prepping it for the new season. Either putting all my mods on a new sled, or going through the old sled. Gets me thinking about riding, talking to friends about their rides and plans. Hanging out at the dealers parts counter and seeing all my buds that I haven't seen since the last ride in the spring. Going to all the open house and sled shows. Seeing the premiere of Slednecks, 2SCS & THC! YEAH - now I'm getting pumped.

Getting together with the boys the night before to decide where we're heading . Although, it usually leads to a long night of debaucery! Not so good in the morning.

For me, it's gotta be pulling into the parking lot in the morning and seeing and hearing all the other sleds being unloaded. Then you turn to your riding buddies and say "It's gonna be a good day"

For me it's pulling into the unplowed parking lot and being the ONLY one there.

Breaking trail into "Secret Meadow" the first ride of the season my son and I always try to be first to the meadow it is a great low snow area with no rocks. As soon as I break trail and crest the hill before we drop into the meadow for the first face shots of the season, top of the hill get s my heart pumpin

lol devildog I NEVER make my first ride to my "Secret Meadow" I always save that until spring time! This is why they are still secret after after all these years.
I did locate a 'new secret swap' last year from an airplane, took three tries to find it from the sleds but NOW we know where it is!

i would have to say, the adrenaline dos'nt stop after waking up to the first dump of the season and seeing white!
the next best would be the first cold start of the season, especially if it starts first pull.

I stand corrected. Thanks. But if it's only you there, you wouldn't have any Cats, Polaris or Yamahas to beat up on.

Problem is it's really not that secret any more, I save "secret secret slide " for the spring

Something different for everyone. But I think for all of us its the first scent of that 2 stroker and its ahhhhhhh, I missed tht smell.
Unless your ridin a 4 stroke, then its the deep throaty sound of a fast street bike, but on the snow with skiis.....

For me it would be that 1st ride out of snow camp..all my bddies are there we are watching sled videos drinking coffee and lacing up our boots going on the 1st ride.
Then someones opens the door and says holy crap I just pushed at least a foot of new snow we got last night off my truck what are we waiting for ...Lets Ride
But most of all it is that 1st time I nail the trottle and the front end lifts up and I rock the roll the sled from side to side.
TOU GOTA LOVE IT
