i have a 08 800r renegade and after 4600-ish kms the clutch is noisy. i bring it to the shop and they say ramps and stuff is worn out and need replacing. so since its gotta be replaced im thinking the "summit clutching" might be for me, mainly because im at home in the hills. the problem is im kinda new to the sport and im not to sure on the technical aspect of it all, so my question is what makes summit clutching different? what do i need to do for a clutch setup like the summits have? any help on the subject is appreciated

Summit clutch componets are normally for higher elevations. You should set-up for the elevation that you run your seld at. Also the TRA's make noise when they are dirty, it's a good idea to blow them clean after each ride if possible. A complete cleaning is also a good idea at least yearly.

The ramps are the same between the Summit and the Renegade (413). The difference lies in the spring and pinweights, tuned for the length of track you're pulling. Unless you have a compelling reason to do otherwise, I'd stay stock. And absolutely clean it at least once a year.

ive heard the summits are running 441?

In 08 the Renegade and Summits had 413 and for 09+ the Summits went to 441.

Interesting thread as I have a 2009 Summit sitting in the garage and the wife has a 2008 renegade with stock clutching and I was wondering awhile ago if the 2009 clutch would work on the Gade??

For around home I run the Gade more than the Summit but was thinking of doing some upgrades to the clutch....

Anybody know how the 08' Gade would perform with the 09' summit clutch??

Thanks
