I have a 2010 800 x and I'm putting Billet heads on it. Before I went searching for the coolant drain plug I figured someone on here could send me in the right direction on were to look for it. Any help would be awsome thanks a lot

Welcome to the site Chad. Lots of great info here.
I see you had a great fall NESC season in points, congrats. I figured you for a MX Z 800 (X-RS) rider given your background and the shock upgrades that come on this sled. Real good riding in Pittsburg mid week, fast and smooth trails that lead into Maine. Shoot me a PM if you want more info on the area.

Try to take it easy on that new 800 while pounding laps with it on your Supercross track!!! right_on.gif

In the words of Carmichael, "I'm Super Pumped" only in my case it's for the SNOW to fall and to get the season started....

No drain plug. I always remove the coolant hose located on the front of the engine, under the y pipe.

That seems like it would be a nightmare to actually catch all the antifreeze and not have it all over the sled.

Nope, there's a drain plug on the PTO side of the motor.

No kiddin, is it just an 800R thing? I just went over my 600 pretty close and see nothing and Ive had lots of series 3's split on my bench with no memory of a drain plug.
