Hi....Has anyone bought the gsx se and noticed that the padded panel above the seat which was shown
in the brosure is missing. It does'nt appear to be in the optional accessories either. Why has BRP
left this out ?

I noticed same thing. Its part number 860200310, $54.99 CDN, Doo site says its standard on GTX SE, not sure why they showed in pictureson GSX SE and then dropped.

Is this something that can be added to the seat? What effect will it have on the heated seat. What is the purpose of this padding.

Are you talking about the "console protector" ? (part # is the one 75Rdstr listed) It goes in front of the seat on top of the tank.

Definitely in the brochure on the GSX SE, but I do not see it on the GTX. Maybe somebody got them mixed up. I would call BRP and ask for it to be provided.

At Haydays the GSX SE had the extra foam in the seat. I might add the seat felt really comfortable as well.

Catalog says standard equip on GTX models. not GSX. 44.95$

Could someone tell me what the purpose of this pad is. Do you sit on it or does it serve another purpose??

Its like a KNEE PAD for your BEAN BAG !!

They say its for comfort, and I guess if you are NOT an aggressive rider,it probably might be a nice accessory. BUT....what I have found is that if you ride aggressively (particularly around corners) this pad hinders your ability to "get down in the sled" as well as you could without it. (The sled is shaped the way it is for a reason!)
No...I didnt buy one and try it,but I did place some foam rubber (about the thickness of the kneepads) on the tank.....I didnt like it there.....and honestly, the sled "feels" better without it.
To me anyway..........

its purely cosmetic is all I can see. I have the red gsx and I feel there is a little too much red.

I also bought this pad for my 1200 X. Main reason for the purchase is that I will be riding with my 2 year old son in front of me on weekend family trips so when he slids forward a bit he will be on a nice comfy cushion and not hard plastic. Also breaks up all the yellow a bit.

How does the pad attach. Would it be easy to remove. Does it hinder the removal of the seat. I have the 1+1 seat and have to remove the rider's seat every time I put the 1+1 on.

ArmorAll on the pad helps get rid of the grip.
