Hello
I have a 2008 Summit 800 X that the Warranty expires at the end of November. I called the dealer about the cost to extend the warranty and the cost was $1,100 for one year! $1,600 for three years, this sounds high, and out of my price range. Is anyone getting better prices? This was the factory one for drive train only.

Thanks

WOW??? I thought I was getting SCREWED at 799.00 for 12 Months
$899. for 24 Months and $999. for 36 Months!! This is what was quoted to me for my 2009 800R Gade X but I know I saw some better prices than this by a dealer in the midwest. Let me look and see if I wrote it down

Thanks for the link, price for the 800 is $899.00 better but still a lot of money. I ride about 1,500 miles a year so maybe not a bad idea, or I take my chances and fix the problems myself as they come up?

$899.00 Vs' the motor job you know you will need at what 3K?

$899 is cheap insurance IMO.

I'm waiting til' like you I'm almost outta factory warranty....I'll decide then. I'm a 50% co-owner of a new 2010 Artic Cat HCR and by the end of this season I'll know if I'm gonna buy out my buddy's half interest share of the HCR or make him pay me my half back and stick with the Doo.

I certainly hope the Doo wins the battle!!

DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY!
Unless you have a dealer that is wanting to keep your business and do what they can to keep you happy (the paying customer), and do the right thing, its not worth it.
Ill sell you mine if I could! Comes free with excuses. Until I have a positive reation to my warranty personaly, I dont think its worth the cash. JUst my opionion though. biggrin.gif

I bought three year extended for about $650 ish. It was half price since i bought it while the original warranty was still in effect. I have used it several times without any problem. I figured it was cheap insurance if the engine blows or other major problem develops.

Boy if I could find one for $650 I would get it. Going to check crank run out today then make up my mind.

I paid under $900 for my 3 year ext BEST bumper to bumper, I didn't buy it from the dealer I bought the sled from, they wanted over $1600. That and a couple other issues, changed dealers.

I bought a 60 month warranty for $1300. It's through ZURICH. Hope it is worth it if I ever need it.
