Full Version: Warranty question......."X" package,or 1200 in general

When I "spring checked" my 2010 1200 X ,part of the deal was a 3yr engine warranty. Was this the normal warranty for these things? Do all 1200's get a 3yr warranty? Or only a standard 1yr?

What promotions did you guys "spring check" your sleds under, because I'm getting screwed out of 1yr of my warranty!!!!

They (dealership) wouldnt give me ANY proof of my warranty, said "ski-doo does not give out any printed version of their warranty",well.... when I filled out my J.D.Power survey I complained about having no "proof" that my sled was supposed to come w/a 3yr warranty as part of the spring check deal !! (the owners manual only covers the generic 1yr bumper to bumper, not any promotional EXTRA or B.E.S.T.) ....So I get this letter in the mail today, from my dealership/salesperson appologizing and enclosed is a printout (reciept) saying that the warranty has been applied to my sled...... A 2 YEAR (24mo. BEST) warranty....*%@?!? They STILL didnt get it right!!!!!

My question here is......AM "I" the one thats WRONG ??? or did these things come with the 3yr warranty????

The promo I bought my sled under was the : plus plus plus promo (free e/start(or $350 in customer cash),free 2nd yr eng.warranty(3yr on 4-tech),plus no payments untill....???) Well the 4-tech has e-start,so I took the warranty and the $350cash/accessory.....

Can somebody help me please!!???

Here you go:

Customers who buy a MX Z X-RS or Expedition TUV SE package sled get ONE of the following, while customers who buy any other eligible 2010 models get TWO of the following: Option 1) Free Electric start (not available on MX Z X-RS package) OR Option 2) *Up to 3-year extended coverage: 1 year BRP limited warranty plus up to 2 year BRP extended service terms on the engine. (3 years for Summit Everest and Summit Sport. 2 years on all other eligible models.) Subject to a 50$ deductible. OR Option 3) $350 in parts, riding gear and accessories available at a participating Ski-Doo dealer.

As I understand this info:
1 year coverage then,
2nd and 3rd year (engine only) coverage with a $50.00 deduct for each service repair visit.
Plus 1200 owners that snow checked ALSO got option #3........

Hope this info helps.

Thanks for all the replies!! I looked into it a little more, and I DID get the warranty that I was supposed to....there was some confusion on the paperwork! It showed only a 24mo. warranty BUT it goes into effect 12/1/ 2010 untill 11/30/2012 (thats AFTER the initial 1yr warranty is up....) ha ha...so yes....I ended up w/the 3yr (last 2 are eng. ONLY)

Thanks again for the input everybody!!

I spoke with my dealer this morning; and they had a slight modification to the above, and that was if you bought a 1200 RenegadeX, and possibly all other Xs you did not get the $350 or six month option as the X included $1600 in options already. If you have other sources that say differently could you post. the warranty coverage was correct.
Thanks
