I was wondering from everyone’s experiences in the past when the Drummond Island ice bridge is open to head into Canada. We are planning a two week ride starting in Marquette and heading east, and hopefully into Canada over the bridge if it is frozen solid enough. I have been across it a few years back, but can't exactly remember when it was. Thank you for all of your help. I am keeping my fingers crossed for good snow and cold temps.

By the 2nd or third week in January is a decent bet.

Supercharged,
Thank you as that is what I was thinking but wasn't 100% sure. So is there any other way into Canada by sled other than the ice bridge, as we are waning to enjoy the trails up there> Thank you once again for all of your help.

Actually, you could take a shuttle across the International Bridge at Sault Sainte Marie, MI to get into Canada. It takes a little effort to get east of there so I think the ice bridge is a better bet if you want to go east towards Elliot Lake, Spanish, etc. If you want to go north towards Wawa, the International Bridge may be the way to go.
Now, as far as the shuttle goes, I've heard they do it like they do for the Mackinac Bridge, but I don't know for sure.
