Can anyone be even more specific regarding the best choice(s) in used gade 600's? Rode for @20yr but away a long time (last sled: 86 MXLT). Kids grown, done paying for college and time for toys again, but a lot to catch up on. One reason we left sledding was my wife didn't like the "stinky" emissions. So, is the low emission E-Tec 600 a good motor worth the $? Also, does the 1+1 seat work well and will the 600 ride/pull acceptably well with 175lb+120lb wife on board once in awhile? (Not looking for hi-perf, just reasonable performance) Are clean 03 gades a good choice -though outdated, the 03's in black caught my eye. Trying to decide between one 06-07 at $4-6K or two older 03 gades at @3K each and tell my wife to pinch her nose! I'm big on reliability, so x-treme's post indicates 07 may be the best year(?) Is the KBB online price guide reasonably accurate, or is there a better resource to determine fair pricing?

Id go 08 the xp is unreal would not go back to the rev( also a great sled) i just prefer its lightweight and handling

Been away from sledding for quite a while huh? You really should try a rev chassis renegade. The rider forward ergo of the rev was a huge step in snowmobile evolution. If you ever drove a dirtbike, you will feel at home straight away. Actually, I think the ergonomics of the rev is even better than the present xp/xr chassis.
