just for the heck of it why not ive done everyother thing to this sled. still havent checked my timing yet. could someone school me procidure wise? what do the three lines around the timing hole mean? also i turn the motor over slowly looking for a timing mark on the flywheel all i see is two nubs that are fixed to it. is it true the timing is retarted from the factory? my guess would be the center line is correct and the one before it and after it would be advaced or retarted dont know thats why im asking.

My engines were built by others, and I never asked. I did notice keyways on the parts list. Trygsatd also wanted the cdi unit so he could moddify it...i am not sure what he changed.

WE NEED SOME GURUS INPUT PLEASE I AM ASSEBLING A 809 NOW, AND WOULD LIKE TO ADDRESS THE TIMING...

There should be a dot on the nub. That should line up with the trigger coil. Find TDC on the MAG side first. Line the dot on the nub up with the trigger when the MAG is at .083" BTDC. That's a stock setting. After that if you want two degrees advance or retard just go off the degree wheel that you set at zero with true TDC on the MAG side.

If you still have trouble I'll try and scan in the pages from my manual.
