Couldn't pass it up. It's a dealer demo w/1100 miles, all service bulletins done and 1 year manufacturer warranty. Last sled was 99 formula dlx. What do I need to know or watch out for, pre-ride/post-ride/maintenance. Interested in knowing other owners perspective, or tips.
Thanks!

Ok..Let me start..If you have all the bulletins done (reverse spring, clutch, computer updates), the next thing is general wear! The spark plugs aren't due for a few years, and oil changes once a year.

Ok here are the nuisances...Fuel gauge, burning thumb warmers, don't sit on the storage area on the seat it will break (trust me)..

My dealer said some grips were wired backwards and was the issue with too hot on low. Mine were, will know for sure when I ride it. May be the issue with the thumb also, gotta check my thumb also.

We got my wife one last year, 09 GSX 1200. Great trail sled and pretty fast. Very quiet and pretty good MPG. Not as good as our old SDI's though, had three of them, but close. More power then the SDI's though. Pulls like my wife's old 1996 Formula 3 600 and they were fast sleds back in the day. Warm and very stable ride at 90+ mph runs across the lake. Light steering, almost like power steering, very nice for long 200 mile + days. What dealer did you get it from? Nelson's?

Yes. Apparently was Bill Mason's from MSA demo sled. Saw it at Sno-Motion and finally jumped on it 2 weeks ago. I was surprised that it lasted that long at $7000.00. Hoping it turns out to be as good of a deal as it appears.

wow, that is a great deal. we bought my wife's 1200 GSX there last year and I sno checked my 1200 Gade from there this year also. very good people to deal with and even though there over 2 hrs from my house down here and from our cabin, I will continue to deal with them. worth the drive I feel.
