I really think it is a good setup for most of SK. Sounds like 1.75" is good all-around, and not bad on-trail. 6.9's are quite good everywhere.

I was thinking of going that way last year, so read TONS of posts and even pestered every DT member I could find who had similar setup. Was headed for a BackCountry at spring order time, and got distracted by a Summit along the way. BC Gade is a killer machine though; good at everything. I doubt you'll be unhappy unless you are trying to highmark in mountains.

Last year I had the 1.75 on my 09 gade and loved it. I put on 3500kms with no issues. Didn't have 6.9, just ran the stock 5.7's and they were enough. I did find that I didn't have enough in deep snow in the back end and went with a summit this year. Never lost traction with the 16x137x1.75 but was hard to see at night with the headlights pointing up. I went everywhere my brothers summit went last year, just made a slightly deeper trench.
