Well I finally pulled the trgger and got a smokin deal on a 2009 1200 mxz x w/ only 148 mi. I'm psyched! Snow can't get here soon enough.

Sled is absolutely gorgeous!
Coming off of 3 apex's, hope this sled lives up to all the hype.
Question - Thinking of getting a taller windshield, anybody know where I can get a good deal online?
Thanks

You will love the skidoo. A buddy of mine has a 06 Apex GT, and it's been a POS. In 13K he has been stranded 3 times, had the mono shock replaced 4 times, several sets of idler/boggies wheels, a new exhaust system, and a new drive shaft.
In the first 3k of miles his idler and bogie wheels were toast..Mine are still good..His over heats quite often..Mine is very good at staying cool.
I am going to take a trip out west, and my machine is worth going with. His isn't so he isn't going.

Another Yamaha convert.
I still like my Yamaha but with them not bringing out a Apex replacement what is one to do? I've never had a breakdown or failure other than a wire rubbed thru on my 04 Warrior which was easily remedied and one blown track at 132 MPH on the same turboed Warrior. I've had 10 Yamaha four-strokes since the inception of the 03 RX-1, some turboed and some stock, all dead reliable and blistering fast.
I too hope the XR1200 lives up to the hype. It will for sure be lighter, should handle better and be quieter.

I have used J R Graham Powersports. They sent me a catalogue that had 10% off anything inside. Also a free gift for spending over 300.00. I have also seen sled-parts.com that seemed to be reasonable.

But I thought Yamaha was supposed to be so reliable?

Oh, I see the others have had better luck. Maybe it was just a lemon.

dasilva's? they are all pricey, it doesn't matter much. i think jaycox powersports is probably your best bet for a ski-doo windshield. you could try the aftermarket or ebay.

Jaycox is great! Babbits is a bit cheaper, but they can be hit/miss with getting the correct stuff and someone to talk to.

Had great luck with Preston Equipment myself. Doo Talk sponsor as well! 20% off all Doo parts and accessories.
Not a fan of Babbit's at all, but they are a local dealer to me and I know the service first hand. I only go there when I absolutely have to.
