I know there are countless posts on alignment but I was wondering if it is the same specs for '98 models with electric start? I noticed even the alignment bars for sale that I have found say "without electric start". Is there a different tool required as well? Thanks

I believe the some aftermarket bars dont work with electric start because they go behind the clutch. the oem fits both,it sits on the face of the clutch.if youre going to buy an alignment bar go with the brp.

The crankshop makes one that would work with that set up. You can look at it on there website, It gives pics.

I bought the crankshop tool. It works awesome, no measuring needed, just slip the tool between the clutches and look to see if you in line. It comes with instructions and I believe the tool is $30. Fits a few other chassis also. Best buy IMO!!
