Was considering put them on but skidoo sells them for like 65 bucks. What's the advantages of them on there ??

-Thanks-

To protect the A arms? TgC_emoticon142.gif

Really I put them on because I want the sled to go up and over any obstructions that are just below the surface of the snow. Or I want them to take the brunt of the impact before the a-arm does. If you blow into a stump at 40 nothing is going to help, but these add a little insurance.
River Rat
They provide a little extra flotation as well.

Here are the ones that we sell.
Made of 1/8 aluminum. Lightweight and much stronger than the factory plastic ones.
Powdercoated to the color of your choice.
Stainless Mounting hardware included.

Even if I was paid 65 bucks, I wouldnt use them. Looks ugly as hell and your a-arms (or subframe) will be bent if you hit something anyway.

You obviously had the plastic BRP version and not the aluminum ones made by C&T Powersports.

I wouldn't boondock without 'em.

I'll 2nd that! Last season I went riding with "Dix" and after seeing how well his worked and aided in the off trail fluff riding PLUS the quality of the fit and finish of the C&T A-arm protectors - I am now waiting for mine to come in the mail for this season. Another great thing is the customer service - 2nd to none!

How much did they cost?

$69, I'd definately buy those before the doo plastic ones.

Guys-
Our a-arm protectors do not come off ! Contact Bowhunter here and ask him. He hit a TREE with his and bent the front of the a-arm protector up straight to a 90 degree angle and the mounting hardware kept the protector in place. However, the impact did bend his lower a-arm, but this was a TREE that stopped him dead in his tracks.
Our A-arm Protectors are not going to prevent this type of damage, but they will provide protection against hidden obstacles and flotation for sure.

Our Mounting kit consists of 4 Stainless clamps with stainless 1/4 inch screws and stainless lock nuts.

The factory mounting for the plastic ones consist of 2 clamps on one end, and an "Z" bracket for the other end. I don't really think that the BRP design was intended for any type of protection.

One thing that you come to realize with the products that we sell:
THEY WORK AS DESCRIBED! We WILL NOT sell something if it doesn't work.

The only thing you keep forgetting is to tell people to make sure they ate their Wheaties that morning when they go to mount 'em laugh.gif

Oh Yea, I forgot to mention: Ages 10 and up! roflrofl.gif
I assume that you are referring to the length of the mounting screws??
Being the fit and finish minded guy that I am, I really can't stand to see excess hardware hanging of of the sled! biggrin.gif

Yep.... I actually mounted the 1st one with some longer screws then decided, "yea, that looks crappy"... so I sucked it up and used the shorter ones you sent.

Let's not forget here... I only weigh a buck & a half.... when Ian does my shocks I think he just takes the valve stacks out of 'em, puts 'em back together & sends 'em back to me. laugh.gif

Did you bring them back to the BRP dealer?
I am not one to bash someone else's product, but I do agree with you. BRP did not do a good job with the mounting design.
MaineSled
I got mine in the mail 3 days after paying for them and as expected there were no surprises the guy is a perfectionist, the quality, fit & finish are all you could ask for and far exceed what you'd expect to get for the money that they cost. Hats off to C&T for a quality product! Now if we can only get Chris to make a Clutch tower brace of his usual quality and fit & finish we'd be all set, HINT, HINT!
