Im in too! N.shore trail Duluth to G marais would be great ride. More snow forcasted for next wknd. Doo it the following wknd? Jan30-31? Gives some time to make arangements for lodging/permission from the wives! What say everyone?

Last Sat planned on riding from GM to Duluth and back. Only made it to Finland (my friend's sled started to lose a drive shaft bearing so decided to turn around before we got stranded). Only took about 2 hours of riding time to go from Devils Track Lake to Finland (about the halfway point).

Snow is really thin on the north end. From about Tofte/Lutsen area to GM was really rough - with the last couple of days and the pounding it was taking I am sure the trails are completely trashed by now. From the Tofte/Lutsen area to Finland the snow was thick enough but was really soft on Sat and getting pushed around by loads of traffic. Wait and see what is left after the current warm spell. WE NEED SNOW!

Thanks for the update. Trails got beat up down here over the weekend. I agree looks like we need to hold off for more snow. We had an awesome base, wish people would stay off trails when it's close to 40deg out. But then can't blame a guy for wanting to ride whenever you get a chance.

Duluth to GM would be an amazing trip and I have always wanted to do that. 2 day deal though. I agree on waiting for better trails, more snow and colder temps. Later works for me. hard to get a weekend off at work so maybe sometime in feb or march?

Sounds Like Duluth to GM might be the winner and now to come up with dates and i will get a list of hotels etc and list them on here. Now would we ride and stay in GM and then return the following??
