Thanks to all who may reply, my neighbors son bought a 2006 Rev 440 snow cross sled ,the boy can ride so a great choice (maybe he won't bend this one in half) . He wants to change the head or hopefully just the domes so he can run pump gas ,what are his options?

Also was hoping to find a larger gas tank as the small stock one won't take him very far here in flat land country so any ideas on other models that would fit and have more capcity?

thanks again !

he'll need the Speedwerx low compression heads and retard his timing to -2. here's a write-up i'm working on to help a few guys out over on HCS:

Installing these heads allows you to run 93 octane through your sled, as opposed to 110 octane with the high compression heads that come stock from the Race Dept. in Thief River Falls. Keep in mind that after the installation of the low compression heads, you’ll need to retard your timing. The stock timing on these sleds when running 110 octane is set at “0.” You will need to turn your timing dial knob to “-2” in order to run 93 octane with the low compression heads. The timing dial is located behind the engine, next to your CDI—which is right in front of your gas tank, just above your jackshaft. Basically, it’s in THE hardest to reach place on the entire sled. The timing dial can be easily re-located right above the disc brake on the upper support of the chassis.
The part number for the low compression heads from Speedwerx is AC440BH-12.8. You can also view the website to order the heads: http://www.hotseatperformance.com/psp/show...5&CATID=249
The CDI does NOT need to be re-mapped in order to run 93 octane through the sled. Installing the low compression heads and simply turning the timing dial from “0” to “-2” will suffice. This will work for 2004-2007 Sno Pro models. The 2003 Sno Pro requires no head change to run on pump gas. It simply needs a CDI re-mapping with the stock heads from the Race Dept.

as for a tank, the only option is the Trail Tank from Creation Composites http://trailtank.net/ or you can order the tank from Travis at Track2Trail http://www.track2trail.net/

if you have any other questions, you're more than welcome to PM me on here or email me at wolskicm@hotmail.com. i can talk about these trail converting the Sno Pro race chassis for days.

Wait a minute..subject says snopro which implies arctic cat, but your post says rev440 ....so.... which one?

If its a skidoo rev, then there is a bulletin from skidoo that outlines exactly what you need to do. But yes you can get low compression domes, a bigger gas tank, and you'll have to do a couple other minor things to get the sled to run right on pump gas.

i didn't even catch that!!!

if it's for the Arctic Cat 2006 440 Sno Pro--then my info is still valid. but if it is in fact for the 2006 440 Rev chassis--IGNORE what i wrote!!!
