I'm wondering if there is any advantages of joining one club over another. Maybe a newsletter or some other club advantages.

I would like it to be in Lewis or the surrounding counties but will consider any

every club has its pros/cons. Join a club that is down on members, and needs help. One membership helps alot, especially at 4 hrs/gallon, every membership is worth an hour of grooming.

Join more than one club, its only another $20 once you join your first club. Join where you ride!! I think I am in 8 clubs this year.

In Lewis county it's tough to beat The Barnes Corners Sno Pals. Click & join.

Thanks for the info, I took advice from both and joined the sno pals and a club in my county. I would rather throw a few bucks to the clubs then to feed Gov Paterson's seeing eye dog that probably has a 6 digit salary biggrin.gif .

Just in case anyone else needs some info, when you join The New York State Snowmobile Association, NYSSA ,they will give you a menu with available clubs that you can join.........now let it snow!

The important thing is that you join. Where you join should be determined primarily on where you ride, not where you live. Often those are one in the same, but not always. If you ride in multiple locations like most do, join in both areas. For instance, you live in central New York and ride when conditions permit, but you will trailer to Tug Hill when you can't ride at home. Join a club in both locals. Then use the infomration that the memberships provide to your benefit.

As ridge runner2 said join where you ride. The NYSSA menu will have it broke down so you can search by county, that way you can pick one in your county as well as were ever else you might ride. In my case there is only one locally , which is on the other side of the county with a small amount of trails which I have never rode. I have some of the best local riding starting here at the house. But I would rather help others locally that enjoy the same thing I do.

I guess there are some like myself that look to join clubs to save on registration fees.

But in reality I wont save any because I will contribute to multiple clubs. The only thing that we might save, is some trails, and thats priceless.

Tie up the tree huggers! Its almost time to ride YE59.gif

Hopefully anyone searching will find some useful info in this thread.

I have nothing but great things to say about Sno-Pals. Hmmmm, maybe I can get the wife to let me join another... this snowmobile thing is addictive. I'll remind her that I don't smoke or drink coffee so I can afford it!
