I just found this in some foreign land - maybe someone can translate? Looks to be a tundra LT with an extension - must be a 144" track????

Anyone know anything?

I certainly has an additional set of idlers . If the forward set is original , as they appear , then I suspect that the track is even longer . I suspect that it is in Finland and I don't believe that I have seen anyone on these boards from there . There are still a lot of native speakers in the U.P. but it would really be great to hear from someone that knows this sled , the ELT decal matches the graphics of the era and suggest that this is a factory conversion . It looks like there is a new track on it too , slightly deeper lug ?

Finland.........good choice

You need to click on the "view similar" tab , there are some interesting differences seen on the 87 and 90 listed . Both have inverted headlights and the North American version of the 90 would have been orange . It also has a chrome bumper , red bars and seat piping , owner mods ?!

Does anyone know how to use one of the translator programs ? Very intriguing TgC_emoticon142.gif

Isn't Commander from Finland??

Sweden , I think somebody from Lapland had a post in the "show your utility sled" thread , I'll see if I can find it .

Here, Google translate butchered it for me:

"Available in the long platform and show off the plastic ski Skidoo. Tracked 4metrin's new manager, Kit puuttuu.Kevyt and agile peruskelkka.Rotax 1-cyl. moottori.Tämä toboggan runs umpihangessa do not have to do other jälkiä.Rekisterissä.Myös exchange for cheaper or kalliimpaans. May be offered! "

LOL

Looks factory... some Lynx models used a weird extrovert rear idler system long after it was ditched over here in NA, it could very well be a factory job but I have never seen anything like it before... the decals and rear flip scream factory, but those rear drop brackets scream home-job.

Yes it is, all Lynx snowmobiles are from Finland.
Lynx also makes Ski-Doos utility machines.

You missed what he was saying... "Commander" is the username of a guy in this board who hails from Finland...

Yes, but hailing from Sweden/Scandinavia and drives the Lynx XU/Commander.

My finnish isn´t up to date unfortunately, but the mysterious Tundra seems to be a little modified with drop brackets from " behind the barn" and a 156 track.
Lynx had earlier also a few similar models called Forest Fox with 377 or 503 engine, the 377 was very popular for samish "boondocking" herding the reindeers over here.

Maybe tchiwam (who i think hails from Sodankylä/Finland) could solve the translating problem?

Sorry about the mistaken homeland, notes taken wink.gif
Commander
No problem, we are all the same people and we have no problems whatsoever with the finnish people who bravefully fought for and had their freedom in 1809, it´s the Norwegians who through numerous political matters took their indipendence in 1905 we have all the problems with LOL rolleyes.gif

Possibly ELT stands for, Electric start, Long Track?
