Gang Snow melted by Monday sooooo Sweetheart made me thrash all week on her Chassis Dyno...

sweet HP and TORQUE is about double over the xp800 But remember Dyno engone or Chassis doesnt measure Weight to HP ....gotta be a chart out there say 150 HP at 535lbs vs 160 HP at 435 lbs ect... but some cool read and info...

4 tec rpms ok 2 strokes at moment are reading 2 X high ..on graphs 16.00 = 8000 rpm on the 2 stroker... will get adjusted for next weeks add ins..

Chk out our website under Gallery ! Just posted some of our dyno results and more to be added tommorow morning !
Way cool to see the comparison of our 1200 pump gas Demo sled with Header and Hindel Muff VS a bone stock xp800 (a good running stock sled ) both stock clutched and stage II clutched...

In Morning will show our XP860 VS the 4 Tec 1200 also good read .... and more I will also backtrack to 4 tec with stage II clutching only and then header test then Muffler test...and get posted ASAP...still trying to learn my software and what I can do with . I will not bash one brand against another on the headers as we are all in R&D Mode...!

not saying the Chassis Dyno will be the end result but a Huge tool for us till snow and frozen ground...

All kits will be tested in trail conditions nsow and frozen ground before release... backed up with chassis dyno and Real life testing....

We will be making a date real soon with Dynotech for Tuning of fuel boxs both Powercommander and Rapid Bike RBIII .. stock...then couple diff Headers..... then mufflers only ..then Header/muffler combos...

And my adopted Brother coming up with some crazy bushel basket of tuneing parts n pieces ..

Our goal to come up with the most reliable bolt on pump gas 1200,s out there...and we,ll be ready for the next new 4 tec from BRP..... GO BRP YEEEEE HAAAAA !

Gotta make sure before I retail these headers to you all that htere trail Pump gas safe.... Aint none of us wanna buy a 4 tec engine rebuild .............

Cant evan come close to blowing a belt on 4 tec anybody out there ever blow one on a 4 tec..?

Stay Tuned and again Gang thanks for all support ...

Billy, So are you going to "leak" a little info as to what your "evil" twin brother Bobby D is going to give for test and tune pieces?......... assuming that he is who is supplying you with goodies........

Also you make reference to BRP's "next 4 tec " do you think it will be a 1200ho or a boosted version of the original platform??????

inquiring minds NEED to know!

If I remember correctly, Billy ran 9.93 at 124 MPH with his 800r with just bolt-ons. Seems like there is more difference in the field than the chassis dyno shows. The 1200 ran 10.39 at 118 MPH. That 6 MPH difference is huge. Maybe that just shows Billy has a very good package for the 800r.

If Im not mistaken the track dyno sheets of resent are a stock 800XP sled no bolt ons.
The sled running the 9.90's has bolt ons.
That may account for some of the indifference.
Like 007 stated we dont race Dyno's..... HP/# ratio not factored.
good point on the Diff Blue Max.
The Pa. Gent has a lot of time and effort into some valuable info no doubt.
Looking like he's making some good gains in his clutch department.

Just poking a stick at you to get more info. wink.gif The gains from the mods (set up as a package at DynoTech by 007) on the 800r were significant. The odd part is none of the mods showed much in the way of gains as separate mods. The Howard's stock 800R with clutch kit went 10.39 at 119 MPH. Kind of explains why the track dyno runs were so close.

Kind a like an old Grizzly bear
you can poke me with a stick utill both eyes are open.
Just kidding understand and appreciate your curosity.
Yep there is good info not out yet.
Need to make sure all is happy dyno and in field.
So far its positive.
The 800 is way cool sled and with bolt ons or BB one of the best sleds I have ever road.
But the 1200 is a nice piece just going through growing pains for hot rodders
two totally different animals IMO.
If Doo would have releaed the 1200 with 150HP public would want 170 and so on.
Human nature is to always want something you cant have,or would like to.
Once again hang tight plenty of good folks workin on it.

Yep, blew a belt on a borrowed 1200 adrenaline gade from my dealer. Just grenaded it. Put a nice hole through the side panel at the vent location and another through the front panel. Bent the toe protector in and sprayed belt fuzz all over my bud behind me. Wow, was it loud. I felt it hit my toes behind the protector. Due to the change in clutch angle the belt pieces go in a different direction now. Hopefully on my new 2010 model there is a little protection. I would be real upset if I blow a belt through the side panel.

I spoke with the dealer and they did not believe that the holes were from the belt blowing. There was 2500 miles on the belt. Duhhh, do ya think they should have put a new belt on just a little sooner? Good thing there was a spare in the trunk.
