Hi Guys,
I have my 277 installed and the clutch is engaging at about 3000 rpm, does anyone know what RPM their tundra 300F primary starts to engage? Seems high.
Help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Louis

Thanks! That is about right then, I'll check tomorrow again - easy to miss a 200-300 difference on the old tach.
Thanks!

Hi,
My 94 Tundra always engaged at a higher rpm than a stock 06 Tundra which was one of the reasons it would turn the track better when starting from a dead start in deep snow. But, I can't tell you what rpm that is. Of course it all depends on how many weights are in the primary. That clutch support rod is also very important on the older Tundras. I wonder how you will deal with that on your project sled.

I'm using the same darn primary as is on the 2006 tundra, I'm going to see how it performs on this engine and sled then I will tweak it if I have to. Funny thing is that the spec sheets on the citation say max rpm is 7800, and the tundra max is under 7000 - strange???
I have a clutch support on it, goes from the secondary shaft to the frame - like the 300SS elan - think it will be good enough?? Should be I hope.
