If there is snow it is very good. Lots of open flat running. B

Go north lad.
Riding north of the Soo is amazing and well worth the 200 trail pass if you can ride a few times per season..
Never ridden the southern area though.

Being from sarnia ,i thought i'd chime in. If we get the snow ,its great riding around the sarnia area.the trails are groomed very well most of the time[alot of fields].Gas usually isn't a issue, theres alot of small towns that gas can be bought at.From just outside sarnia you can catch the groomed trails, parking outside of town isn't a issue either everybody is fairly nice to the sledders. From where the trials start you can go just about anywhere you little heart/or machine will take you throughout ontario. You can go from tha sarnia area to the tobermory/owen sound area by lake huron in a days trip[depending how fast you ride].For early riding we head over to Michigan, because your guys season starts dec. 1st. but unlike your trails are's aren't near as busy.Theres great riding in the Haliburton area, look up the R.A.P tour[ Ride Around Algunquin] park. Its a very senic ride with lots of places to stay and the signage that you follow is easy to watch out for when riding.Last year 6 of us went up to the Spannish Ontario area to do a 10 day trip and when we hit the Wawa area it was -35 out side we barely got the sleds to start that morning outside the cottage we rented. It's always nice to try riding in different areas. At least thats my theory.I know it's not alot of information but consider the R.A.P tour i think you would like it .good luck and happy sledding.

it's starts when we can get enough snow to stay on the trail and the groomers can pack it.But theres always sleds ripping up the trails before we can get them to set up.But it can be as early as mid/late dec. Thats the great thing about living in the great lakes basin. Lake affect snow can some times shut down the city and all local roadways including the highways and secondary highways.Last year i had to work ,but a few buddies were riding down highway #21 just north of sarnia [down the yellow line passing 4 wheel drive trucks that were tring to get somewhere] . but by jan. its usually good to go.
