Anyone know if and when Royal has a fall no tax sale on everything?

I went to a spring no tax sale 2 years ago and bought some sledding stuff but last year everything in the store was switched over to motorcycles so I'm hoping they'll have a fall sale. Thanks.

Where about's is this sale in ontario??? I live just out side of Montreal and if it's not too far I would like to go.
Any info would be grate

Royal has 3 locations guelph, innisfil and subury, I'd suggest you head to the Guelph location as it isn't far off the 401 which connects into 20 in QC. It also happens to be the biggest store, thats where all online and phone orders are shipped from.

To be quite honest, speaking from experiance of the Barrie sale, it is not worth the drive especially from Montreal.

X2, if it wasn't on the way to the cottage, I probably wouldn't go.

I picked up some awesome FXR race pants at a good price last year as we were in Toronto for the weekend and went to check it out as we got a flyer in the mail with our catalogue. But unless you see some stuff in the flyer that you really want it is a bit of a drive from Montreal. It seems to me that is the left over stuff from last year that they are trying to get rid of before pulling out this years gear. Now to be fair they had a new FXR Pants adn jacket the wife wanted that was not on the shelves yet and they actually went into the truck out back and found it and gave us no tax on it so that was a bonus.

The Royal web site says the sale is from Sept 17-27. They've also got a new liquidation catalogue posted with a lot of sledding stuff.

Anyone been to Guelph yet to check out what they have? I was disappointed that the Spring tent sale had NO snowmobile stuff.

Notice they still have the notice on the website about the low Cdn dollar and need to increase prices. Well, the dollar is pretty strong, and should continue to gain strength.

My Dad stopped in on the way back from the cottage last week. Said that the sale was nothing to write home about unless you are a size 6 mens shoe or a giant. He was looking for a pair of Smith goggles that were on sale, apparently there was 1 set in Orillia but it clearly couldn't be found... Not impressed at all

so did you go, guelph is closest for me as well.... not sure if I should head up or just wait for the show in T.O.

I know what you mean about the CDN dollar, there is even talk it will hit par with the US again, so I think Royal needs to change that... I should send them an email. doing that right now.

I'd wait till the show personally unless they advertised something you actually wanted. There will be great deals at the show anyway and not just from Royal.

i've never had any luck with the Royal sale being an average size guy (at least i think i'm average ) , so everything was either super huge or kid small, but if you do find something the prices are pretty good!

What a pain. I was at the Royal sale in Innisfil on Friday to buy an Ice Rider jacket. No size large. The girl there suggests paying now to save the tax and picking one up later. Try to do it at the cash and they say no other locations have any in stock. We don't know if or when more are coming.

I call their 1-800 # yesterday and they confirm none are in stock but they're on backorder & will be there in October. OK can I order one then. No the no-tax sale is in-store only. I call the Innisfil store and explain about Friday and who I spoke to. No you have to come in to the store. I was in the store! You have to come back.

Great I'm in T.O. that's a big help. Anyone know who else in the GTA or central ON carries Ice Rider stuff?

Ice rider has had a booth at the TO snow show every time i've been. I'd wait until the show to see what you can find if nothing turns up then look around. Royal may have ice rider suits at the show to.

I stopped in at the sale last weekend also. Just echo what everyone else has said, nothing to write home about. It seems they've had better gear and more selection in previous years. I'm waiting for the sled show in October to pick up new gear. Just my 2 cents!
