Bought my nephew a 2002 mini z, he is 5 so should be a fit.... was cleaning it up, changing fuel lines etc...When I took the intake cover off there was no filter!!
Isn't there supposed to be some kind of filter?

Most snowmobiles have no air filter. At least the older junks that I am used to. Maybe them there new fangled 13000 dollar 4 strokes have one? There is an aftermarket air filter at rec motors if you are running it in the summer. BOL

I've got a '98 and an '03 mini Z, both stock, and neither had a "filter" just the black cover/housing on the carb.

Just double checked on DOO's parts finder and no "filter" shown or listed. Just the cover.

A friend has a 2000 and I have a 05 neither have a filter.
