Anybody know if grumpy old Joe will groom this season? Or will another club/clubs pick up the extra grooming? Camp 2 was terrible/closed last season.

I was lucky enough to hit Camp 2 twice after dumps last season, virginal riding. I was also unlucky enough to have to get back to Lyons Falls late a few times last year and there was not a curse word not uttered or yelled out from under my helmet. Many miles of torture. I am still at a loss as to why nobody will pick up the slack and groom that trail. Will the club not reimburse an "outsider" grooming their trail? How long before Joe's bad rep will begin to hurt his business? Maybe then he will smell the coffee?!

heard he was selling his groomer

I hope he sells the groomer! Me and my kid hit it one weekend and it was really rough. Many riders were all ticked off, but we were having a great time riding those big bumps.

i travelled that trail once last year for the first time...while the scenery was absolutely beautiful, the moguls DID get old after a few miles...i dont mind moguls in somewhat small doses, but that was nutz! i hope they groom it this year.. i would like to head up that way a little more often this season...

There will be no more grooming from Joe at Cedar Pines , I talked to him yesterday and he said he's finished with grooming . He told me he doesn't know if another club or two will pick up the area that he covered. He sounded sort of relieved, guess he didn't have a good time with NYSSA .

I've been stopping at Cedar Pine for years, Joe has always been a difficult guy to like, always has a better way of doing something, and isn't afraid to speak his mind, regardless of who's listening. Having said that, he's looking out for #1, can't fault someone for that, but he's got the ability to make a big difference for our sport, at least in the local area, and instead, he's let his own greed and ego get in the way.

Check out the info on HCS/new york. Should be interesting. 50/50 on it being maintained

well, i cant say anything about joe personally, i dont know the guy and i dont think ive ever even talked to him. but i can say this, it seems like it would be in his interest as a bar/resturaunt owner to help keep a major trail in good condition that ends practically in his parking lot....but oh well... i dont know all the back and forth details... it is what it is at this point. like i said earlier, i stopped into his establishment and rode camp2 for the first time last year and kinda liked both (exept for the non-grooming of course) im sure the world will keep spinnin...
