I've heard of waterfall somewhere in the Cadillac area.

Anyone know of the location?

Are you talking about the Tippy Dam? It's straight west on M55, probably 30 minutes west of Caddy.

I beleive there is only one natural waterfall in the lower pennisula. The Ocqueoc falls in the NE lower near Onaway.

I know of no waterfalls around here. The only thing close would be the Hodenpyle (sp) Dam or Tippy Dam.

Thanks for the replys...

Believe it or not, there is a natural waterfall near Cadillac. Actually closer to Harrietta. The family and I went two weeks ago. Nothing much, although something different, they claim 6 to 8 foot falls. The drop is more like 30 feet, however, the water falls 4 feet or so into a crevis and then down to the Manistee river.

Approximately 6 miles west of Harrietta, W 30 Road to N 1 Road, turn right (dirt road). Take N 1 Road (north) approx. 2 1/4 miles to a pretty heavily traveled two track (listed as e sweets ravine rd on Google earth), turn left, travel 1/4 mile and park at gate. The walking trail to the falls is several hundred yards.

There are camp sites at the falls, (1) at low ground and (1) on top of the high bank. We ran into two families camping, they said it was awesome and claim to have seen a Michigan rattler (snake) on the foot path so be careful.

Although no comparision to falls in the UP, it is a natural waterfall and located in the lower peninsula.

Check it out if you can, it's at least an enjoyable hike.

I'm gonna have to go check that out now! Never knew that and I have lived here all my life. I live about 7 miles from Harrietta.
