Jumped 10 bucks in one year now 32 dollars what the hell is going on? Wonder what the price will be for the TMA's?

Registration price for in-state is $32?

My understanding is that five beans of that goes to VT State police for snowmobile enforcement. The rest is just a money grab as usual. God forbid that we figure out that a good way to balance a budget is to STOP SPENDING CARELESSLY! TMA s will be up this year as well. Pity the guy that is struggling now.
Chris1077
Struggling? ha. Not only is it tough to afford these regs for in state yes but now the reappraisal of our home up there is ourrageous that we might have to sell the house because the taxes jumped another 1000 dollars. What the hell is going on?????????????????? See I live here in RI but we own the house and property up there and basically live there in the winter to ride. I am so screwed right now.

how much does it cost to fill up your truck every week $50-$75?
how much do you spend on food every week, $50-$100??
no offense but if you cant afford $32 per year for your sled reg, maybe your in the wrong sport
its an expensive hobby for sure, but if you wana to play, you gota pay

The part of it all that gets me, is I ride in VT and NH. Its about $35 cheaper (total, including state reg, TMA's, club fee, etc) to ride in NH as a non resident, than to ride in VT as a resident. That makes no sense to me seeing as NH's trails are groomed and patroled far better than VT's IMO.

Just my .02

Max,
Does NH require insurance? I assume it does. As was said, the sport is expensive and VT certainly does what it can to perpetuate that. Seems like it was a long time ago when you looked to cut costs to make a budget work, rather than raising prices(see our government) We are spiraling...........rant. my.01

More like die when someone clips ya with no insurance there! I ride both states also and think anybody is retarted in this day and age to ride with no insurance with everybody so sue happy! How the hell can people complain about prices and insurance when you just bought a sled worth $7000 to $11000 dollars and you "edit for bad language" and moan about like $10! Big woop! I dont make a hell of alot of money myself and bringing up to small girls isnt easy but this is my only activity i do besides camping with the family most of the summer so i just save up all my little nickel and dime stuff for my winter season just so i can afford to do the one thing i love! I also decided a few years back that renting out a house with 9 other people is the most economical way to go so i dont have to tow anymore besides the beginning of the season and the end and thats it. I only pay $500 for 4 months and my sled stays there! Best way of doing it if you can get a bunch of guys together.

You read that wrong, there. LIVE FREE OR DIE. That is what I wish. Big brother is getting to be overbearing, thats all. I carry more insurance than necessary because, quite frankly, there are alot of stupid people out there. I will never bitch about $ for snowmobiling as, like you, it is like heroin in my arm. I understand the cost perspective very well. My beef is that the sport is getting to be prohibitive because of cost to people who do not make what I make.

Thats what Uninsured Motorist injury and property damage is for. Regardless, I think its down right stupid to ride without it. Every time you hit the snow your putting your entire financial future at risk!

I work for a large insurance co, and I know first hand how F&*^ed some people are after an accident with no insurance.
