These are the ones that mount under your running boards and tuck up out of the way quite well when not in use. I have used them all... slidekicks, rail mounts and ski mounts... these ones are the best, and not the most expensive of the lot either, which is a bonus.

Are you serious? what about the other ones mentioned on the page you referenced they look like they would be better. they mount on to the rails. I bought 2 sets of the P/N 12-17201's but I haven't put them on anything yet. I don't like they hang off the bottom of your foot rails. It seems like they could get caught and stuff. But now you got me thinking about it. I'm going to go have another look.

Yes, I am serious; P/N 12-17201 is a great product. I didn't particularly like the mounting point or posture either when I first saw them, but after using these extensively, they don't snag on anything and they work very well. I prefer them to rail-mounted types and Slidekicks. The Slidekicks have proven to be less than reliable in my parts.

I use the ones that LB is talking about. They are excellent. Last winter Myself and a buddy went to get some firewood and it was warm. Both snowmobiles had scratchers...Mine with the ones that mount under the running boards and my buddy had the ones that mount on the rails. His machine overheated and he busted off one of his scratchers. My SUV stayed fairly cool and no smell of slides melting. Again I had to wait for a Bearcat to cool down on the lake. To make matters worse I had to tow half his wood too. Get the running board mounts.
