Anyone out there running NOS? Not looking at holding down the button every time I climb, but looking for that litle extra when I get in trouble or need that little extra.
I highly recommend it if your aware of whats going on in side your motor type tunner. It is IMO the best power add on money can buy and extrenely safe if you know what your doing.
Personaly i feel, its a must for anyone that gets into the extreme back country, the nice thing is the motor can remain completely stock and with a nos installation will still out power most all moderately moded motors on a big pull.
I run a modified RT1k with nos in the Revelstoke mountians with guys on turboes, and will pull
ALLthe chutes they pull. I have the advantange of using the nos if i wish and WAY less weight.
I use the Boondocker system that can be adjusted from a 10hp gain to a 70hp gain, with just a turn of a dail.
I have found in the BC interior Revy, Sicamous, Valmount areas the use of the nitrous systems on stock sleds or moderately moded sleds have become the mainstay for the extreme backcountry. This shows how well it works. The system is inexpensive and can be easily installed by most all tunners. Plus the cool thing you can move it to your next sled, should you sell your current sled. Unlike most mods eg. BB, porting and pipes.
There is a learning curve but once you become confortable with it you will love it and the advantage it give you.
Caution it will destroy your motor if your careless or donot know what your doing.
