I know it's early but I thought I'd start a ridding buddy list for the next upcoming riding season. I live in Boon, about 2 miles from the store so trail access is very easy for me. Just send me a PM or post in this thread and maybe we can hook up and ride sometime this winter.

We launch from Caberfae area, not far from Boon. Have to keep in touch when the snow flies, sometimes I ride alone. Mostly trail riding, and seasonal roads when the trail is rough.

Just a note: My wife also rides so couples are welcomed as well. cheers.gif

Add me to the list...

Stay on Berry lake and ride the Cadillac area often, infact put 2200 miles on last year with Cadillac as our hub. (not 1 trip to the UP was required with the 15ft + of snow right_on.gif).

Ride with my son, brother-in-law and neighbor and mostly ride trails and forest roads. would love to learn some new areas also.

Love the Boon store cheese and bon-fire (my neighbor owned the store years ago)

Looking forward to winter 09/10

Take care,

Chris

I've never ridden thru the Cadillac area, but wouldn't be opposed to trying it if I was on my way thru there someday. I'll keep my eyes peeled on the thread as the rides begin!

Hey guys ,my buddy and i are fellow dootalkers from the other side of the bridge in port huron [sarnia, ont, canada] that would like to hook up possibly for a ride when the snow starts to fly . We ride the KKK,grayling, gaylord, houghton lake areas. But as you already know that area is way to busy!!! we both ride hard and fast and aren't shy.So if you don't mind we would hook up with you guys.it's only about 2 1/2 hour drive for us to the cadilac area [i think]. But we would come up the night before and grab a room or cabin in the cadilac area. We try for the early riding that michigan offers at the dec.1st opening date[if there is snow of course]. Just a thought from some canadian guys that love to ride as much as you doo.

I was just reading this thread again and seen your Boon store remark. My aunt and uncle (through marriage) own the Boon store. I never have been a fan of the cheese but Dave does put on a good weekend fire!
lummoxmxz

Any of you guys tell me how to get from Cadillac to Lake City? Is it back roads, trail, two tracks? Thanks guys for any info. We ride from Higgins Lake to Lake City a few times a year but I have always wanted to ride down to Cadillac. Also, any good places to eat over that way if we do get down there?
SIKKREV

Basically have to ride the road side from Lake City to Cadillac's north end. At least that's the only way I know to get here from LC. You can't ride 55 but you can ride whatever road it is that takes you from LC to Jennings Rd then turn to go to Caddy on the curvy rd (not sure on names) that takes you to Boon Road. I'll have to look at a map to get better directions then that. If someone knows an off road route, please chime in!

Meautawaka is a fun place to ride! Lots of two tracks and seasonals out that way. I can ussually make my way from my house to there by two tracks and dirt roads. Lots of fun! Just wish Meautawaka store still sold gas!

I'm in, usually drop at cabrefae - off trail on-trail, any conditions. Put over 3000 miles riding Wellston Irons and north of High Bridge. Ride aggressive and as fast as traffic and conditions allow. Not reckless unless I am offtrail.
I don't wait for my buddies to get permission from their wives so end up riding alone alot. Usually hit the bonfire sometime during the day or night.

Here is an oldie but goodie to get fired up for 2009/2010

Hello revrdr4evr,

I would definitely be into riding with you guys if you have room for one more? Although I’m from Indy, my workday ends @ 2:00 pm and I think Cadillac is only 5 or 6 hour drive. On trail or off, it’s all good to me.

Think Snow,
