I am moving to the Chittenango, NY and do not know where any of the trails are. So i was wondering if there are any cabins in the tug Hill area or even old forge area that I can rent for the winter. I know we have several months till winter but I am trying to research now. My buddies from PA want to come up and ride more so we figure this would be the cheapest way. Thanks.

http://www.oldforgecamping.com/ i have many friends who rent for the winter its a great place. cabins are smaller, no bathroom and you pretty much bring a kitchen with you when you move in, mini fridge, microwave, and a electric griddle is what my buddy has. and he lives out of this cabin for the whole season. most people enclose the front porch on the cabins and use it as a place to keep gear and take wet clothes off so they dont make a mess of the living space. cabins are good for 3 people compfortable 4 people max.

cottages are bigger. and have kitchens and bathrooms built in. there good for 6-8 people.

either way its a great place to stay and they really cater to snowmobilers

Thanks, I will contact them about the cottages.

PM me with your email address. I will pass you the contact info for a place we rented last year in Brantigham 2bdrm with 2 car garage to store your sleds in! THey rent by the season, the month or the week. they will not commit to week rentals until closer to the season as they would like to rent for the season.

Brantingham allows you to either ride up to tug or over to old foge/ Adirondacks we had 2 days in a row that we pulled back into the drivewat after 300 mile days and barely saw a sled on the trails!

Cabin is close to 3 bar/restaurants and kovach's for parts oil gas and just HELP if needed.

Let me know if you would like the contact info-

Chittenango has a lot of good trails coming right out of it. Just watch out for cops on the canal!!!!! You can go to fenner, Caz, Mo-ville, G-town ,Tully and further south. Only down side is you have to wait for the snow here. We usually trailer to Tug early and late season then ride here(CNY) middle of the season while all the out of towners are on Tug. smile.gif
