I'd pay that here in the states if it almost ran. i wouldn't feel like it was highway robery at all

did you think it might be worth less than 600? I'll give you 600 if you pay for shipping

If it's a good runner and the chassis isn't rusted out, I think 600 would be a decent price even if the track is a little rough. From your pics the hood looks in excellent shape with no cracks.

I kinda remember you posting about it earlier this winter. Does it still have the twin HR Tillotson carb setup and stock airbox setup or has it been converted to a single Mikuni? For me (and from a collectable standpoint) the Tillys would be preferable. Personally I'd offer a bit less if its been "Mikuni'd"...but some folks prefer the Mikuni, especially if they're wanting to do a lot of trail riding with it.

Too bad you're so far away from me too. I wouldn't mind having a 294 SB either.

FYI...that exact machine was my first sled when I was 16...just like anything else, something is worth only what you can get for it. IMO $600 is a little on the high side, but not too far off...$1000 is waaaay too high. It seems really like it's just been weathered more than anything else, but making it nice again would take some dooing. BTW, original carb setup was indeed twin Tillotson carbs with an airbox....good luck...someone will snap it up. As an old buddy of mine once said..."No worries--there's an a$$ for every seat...!!"
