Spent last week in Pittsburg March 1-6. Great conditions and seemed like nonstop grooming. Thanks to all northern clubs for their efforts. Anyone looking for a place to stay, give Lopstick a call.

The temp never dropped enough to groom. It also may have something to do with all the extra traffic it must really up the odds of someone hitting a groomer.
The west side of rte3 was awesome no problems, no ice, no traffic. Plenty of riding

Atleast 7 groomers were out trying to do something friday night March 6 between the Pittsburg and swiftdiamond clubs. We rode up roaring and 4 mile brook and Pisgah saturday morning and it was good/very good hard to groom above 32 degrees Also met SDR groomer sat am on 18 coming from roaring brook.
How she like the new sled?

She is very happy so far John. Not alot of riding this week end we worked the gate on the pond side friday at the snodeo. Saturday I had to fix my sign for the cabins that got ran over 2x this weekend eventhough its atleast 10 feet off the groomed trail. I finally just gave up and left it home. All in all it was a rough week end Had to go rescue a renters dead sled up at deer mtn warming hut other renters were one of the 1st responders to the death on Heath rd (they are both EMT's) broken signs working for the club this sledding stuff is starting to become a job for me LOL
I have some issues with mine I brought it down to fix. I heard of one group of sledders that wae lost saturday for four hours, I guess they can't read maps. We will have to go for a ride next friday night.

My buddy and I are going up March 19-22 for the last ride of the season. I hope there is still rideable snow. What are the chances that the snow will be good?

My experiance has been riding is always very good until april. THere is alot less traffic so trails stay together much longer. I'm sure I'll ride atleast 3-4 weeks after your coming. You will have no issues March 19-22

Yeah i make sure i look down that way when i drive by and see what sleds are in the driveway, cause i always know there will be something. How has the business been this year? It was ashame we got that big dumping a couple of weeks ago and then it was followed by rain. We went out that monday and were cuting trail everywhere, no one had been out and we were getting powder over the hood all day. We got burried multiple times, it was a great day. We are trying to get up that way today.... are you riding today??
....went from swift diamond this afternoon...was wicked nice...saw some moose...and screwed around a bunch....

Just came back and had a great trip! We parked across from the Deer Mountain Camp Ground both Friday and Saturday. Trails were in top notch shape with plenty of snow. It got a little bumpy towards the end of the day on Saturday due to the hammer heads tearing it up.

Was up with a few buds and stayed at one of Denny's cabins. The cabins are excellent! Thanks Denny! I (we) will be staying there during future Pitts trips for sure.
The conditions over the weekend were also excellent! A few icy corners and a little hard till things warmed up but that just means it is faaast....... Anyone who knows Pitts knows that when there is no riding elseware there will be riding in Pitts. Just stay North and East.... 5 feet of snow in many areas to get stuck in when you venture off trail. From my judgement it looks like there will be riding for weeks to come! I am planning on going up the first weekend of April.

I'm glad you guys had a good time. HOpefully a couple more weeks left before I have to truck north for the end I took this pic before I turned off trail 5 into my backyard. Taken sunday 3/22 @ 2pm. I have opening for this weekend if someone doesn't want the hassle of trailering out of town.

I am heading up this weekend from Littleton. Do you think it is still possible to leave frome Coleman state park over to trail 112 in Errol and head north from there into Pittsburg? Did it last weekend and it was great, although I came back 140 through youngs over to trail 5 - yuck!!!!

I THINK its possible but I haven't been there since sunday when the pic above was taken. the 2 miles of 18 from 134 to 112 will be the biggest issue. I'm taking my car up so I plan on leaving from my place (just south of the warming hut) I wish I had better info to give you but I can only go on my past years of experiance. I will also tell you I aint afraid of some dirt lol Look for the blue SRX coat riding the black e tech gade. (I get to run the wifes sled out of gas this week end)

Before I do my own research, doesn anyone know of a good place to stay close to Pitts that we can ride out of? Or is it mostly dropping off by now? 3 of us are headed up tomorrow morning. Need to make a few calls, but thought someone might be able to offer suggestions. We usually stay and ride out of Colebrook House Inn, but that was toast Snodeo weekend.
Thanks.

Speaking of Colebrook House Inn, has anyone who's stayed there got to witness the dancing cowboy? It's a must see.

Just wen't for a ride yesterday and did 112 miles good going all the way. Left from CSP but after the rain we just got last night and this morning it might not be so good. Warm weather for rest of weekend so it might be the last time to leave from their. Then you will have to trailer all the way up to magalloway Rd.

Really no big deal John. Korene s sled needs to be run out of fuel anyway. With the off trail so hard packed the 1.25 gade will be fine + I have more range with the Etech. I won a clutch on Ebay for a pretty good deal but it wont be here in time to use mine but I should be all set fotrthe next couple week ends. Should break 5000 miles for the season this weekend

I am heading up to 45th Parallel Cabins, LLC for the 3rd time this year, 4th time on the last 2 years.

The place is clean, right on the trail, and easy to get to. Not to mention the owners are what I call old school. Each time I have stayed there they go above and beyond to ensure we enjoy our stay. I've stayed in both the cabin and hotel room, either way, you cannot go wrong. Any questions, PM me, I'd be glad to answer them.
