My last trip up to Michigan this year. Taking the wife this time and leaving the buddies at home. Looking for something a little nicer than your basic motel room. Never been to Cadillac but I thought I'd check it out. Anybody stay anywhere that a sledder girl might like? Thanks for your help.

We always stay at McGuires resort when I go up with the family They have two places to eat attached to the hotel , nice pool ,And you can take her on a horse drawn sleigh ride after dinner around the property,Check it out . Also the trails start at there property.

McGuires has great staff...IMO trails in caddy are mediocre, but I have to hand it to McGuires you couldn't ask for a better host. Lost Pines I willnever go there too many bad stories from friends also to keep in your never to stay at list in the Houghton Lake area is the american oak resort, what a piece of "edit for bad language", the cabins smell like a hookers old thong, we ended up buying a space heater to stay warm and the walls dripped with condensation and the owners/staff were complete dicks, we had a friends 28 foot sled trailer which they assured us easy parking etc, then bitched about it the entire time we tried to manuever it in to the "resort"...Crooked River in Alanson is nice, pool and hot ubs that are clean etc. but the trails through town in Alanson are usually destroyed by the snow plows and salt..
