Can anyone give me a status on how the trails in Grand Marais, Tower, Ely or Grand Rapids are holding up? What about the Bemidji area?
Thanks!

I don't know about GM, but the rest of the arrowhead is shot. I just got back from a three day ride. I could not believe how the snow melted right in front of my eyes.
Pray for more snow.

I was off of Pelican Lake/Orr area all last weekend and they are fine. We rode ~200 miles.
I think we are going to Virginia, MN on Friday and hitting the trails west of there.

The trails are fine. I put on 300 miles last weekend and 400 miles the week before. Some icy corners here and there but all in all in good condition. The people that say they are shot, don't know what they are talking about!

Snowing like crazy right now so the trails up this way are only going to get better and better.. Most of the trails up here got groomed on Monday and Tuesday so with this fresh white on top they should be in absolute perfect shape this weekend just about anywhere you want to go..

Might have to wait until mid March for a big storm to play in powder again, you know as well as I do what is under neath is hard as a rock right now and you can go about anywhere both on sled and on Foot without sinking, I plainly stated the trails are all ridable and in pretty dam good shape considering the warm weather we had.... They make new carbides and slides every day so to me those are an expendable item

Exactly. I just love to play in the powder and bust trails on the powe lines. The trails are in awesome shape and that rain and warm weather just made for a nice solid base. I will easily hit 3000 miles this year. A first for me. Usually end up with about 2500.

Well the storm was a bit overhyped but we (Tofte Lutsen area) did get a real 8" yesterday. Our trails were still in good condition even before this snow and it's been pretty darn cold since the snow quit so it's not going away in the very near future. Not much chance of finding carvin' powder though because if thawing and freezing going on last week. Powerlines and forest roads will still be some nice riding though... just no deep stuff.

Heading up to Virginia, MN to hit up the arrowhead/taconite trails. DNR says "excellent" conditions. Hotel guy said they got 7-10" around that area, it was blowing, so hard to get an exact amount.
