I see that MCX has a nice secondary system for the XR.
Does anyone have one or have any feedback?

I have had 4 MCX systems for bikes and they are nice performing, well thought out packages.

anybody ?

Secondary system? What?
busa747
sorry, secondary injectors.
mbarryracing
YamaDooPolCat,

MCX uses their signature custom fabricated intake manifold & airbox with separate supplimental (secondary) fuel injectors and a separate ECU w/ programming to control them, instead of a piggyback manager and solely utilizing the stock injectors.

They are, for sure, a work of art.

What I hear from over here is that MCX is running the Comet 108EXP with good results...
mbarryracing
What are they doing for the secondary clutch? I see in a separate topic that TEAM Industries is set to release their conversion.

The Doo roller secondary is a very nice durable clutch, it's just a copy of the old Polaris secondary. Nothing wrong with the BRP secondary. The TEAM stuff is nice, but not needed for this application.

I also was told most success stories of people running the MXC Turbo, are also running the Comet 3 or 4 post primary clutches. Don't cheap out people, you will need to buy a primary clutch for your turbo sled.

Also was told the 1200 sleds will be out with a long track next year. Now we just have to find out if the sled can be snow checked minus the TRA?

MCX is Credited for Starting this Whole Turbo Snowmobile revolution with the 4 Strokes.

They are the Innovators.
mbarryracing
Ted,
Didn't MCX copy the original design Bender Racing came out with for the first year RX1? Or did they start first with their own front mount then went to the rear after Bender? I probably have something mixed here... I could use a good history lesson.

They built the original turbo Kit for the RX1 Period, then came everyone else, they did go to a rear mount after 2 or 3 years of production, because everyone in North America copied they're Front Mount kit right down to Photo Copy of the instructions. Sad.

mbarryracing
Cool, I wasn't too far off then.
Credit where credit is due. Thanks for the lesson!

See you tomorrow?

price is 2000$ more than a FPP stage 2 kit, and have more components. Also, you will have to remove the engine and add a head spacer. Service is in europe, so it's far, and Have in your mind that you will have to talk often with the supplier.

take a look to the FPP kit, is now working very well and I have good result now.

whats ur price like on this kit ?
TomIvar
You pay way too much for these kits in the US/Canada. I can get them for $4850USD/$6050CAD direct from mcx in sweden. But they only sell to europe. The mcx distributers in the US and canada increase prices for you guys.

But not as much as the sled distributors in europe mark up the prices on the sleds. A 1200 Renegade X is USD 16500 in sweden.

Yes thats true, in Norway sleds costs even more than in sweden. A brand new 2009 Apex is $24000USD here.
But seems turbokits in the US/Canda is overpriced....
