Here are a few. Just got my handguards in today, so I'll get some more in a couple weeks after I rebuild my engine (toasted it pretty good as you will see).
Beginning of the season;

From yesterdays trip. Had to be towed home;

And my masterpiece from yesterday. That head use to be natural aluminum colour....

Do you know what caused the meltdown Blecter???

Not 100% sure yet, but here is what went on when it happened.
Dad and I decided to go out to the cabin to see if my carb changes would increase my mileage a little (I was getting just over 100km to a tank roughly, and was running rich so I leaned it out a little). It was fine all the way out until we got to the pond right beside our cabin. My throttle started sticking for some reason, but came unstuck without a problem. Got the point where my cabin was and stopped because my throttle was sticking again. Shut the sled down and dad noticed that something under my hood was smoking. Popped the hood and found that the lid on the coolant bottle was loose and had been letting coolant out. Looked around a little more under the hood and did not see anything else that was wrong, so we tightened the lid and I decided to take it real easy on the way home.
I'm guessing that I had a lot less coolant than I thought, so it was a bad choice to ride it home. Got about 7 of the 20km home and my engine started making a scratching sound. Shut it off as soon as I heard it and got towed the rest of the way home. We stopped just before we got home to check if the engine had seized when it cooled, which it did. Got it home and popped the plugs, put a little oil down the cylinders and rotated the primary and it instantly became un-seized.
I'm thinking that the cooling system got air-locked since it lost so much coolant. Whatever did it, I won't know the full damage until I tear into it this weekend. I'll make sure to get some pictures of the damage up.

Yeah It's a sweet little sled. This morning I was in the woods beating paths for all the bigger skidoos and carving up the hills. That color is pretty close to stock. Had to fiberglass and paint that hood about 4 or 5 days before those pics.

Just thought I'd throw up what happened to my sled. First off the coolant cap was loose.
When we took the head off we found that the o-ring that goes between the cylinder and the coolant jacket had a small chunk missing from it. After reading a bit on here I've come to find the most probably reason for burning up. What I believe happened is that the pressure from the cylinder was increasing the pressure in the coolant system, and since the coolant cap was loose the coolant left the system the easiest way it could. I lost enough coolant that the engine became empty and overheated.
The rebuild has fixed all the problems I was having before. Before my sled wouldn't idle correctly, as it would stay at about 1400 rpm and drop under 1000 then go back. Now it will stay at a steady 1500-1700 rpm. My fuel mileage has also increased. Before I was looking at about 100-120km to a tank, and now I'm looking at an estimated 160km+ per tank (will find out tomorrow; first long run since rebuild). Overall my sled is running great, and all I had to do was replace one piston, clean up a cylinder, get all new gaskets, and replace a little fuel line.
