I keep hearing there is a shack north of pilot butte could anybody give me directions to the shack if it exists?

I grew up out there I have never heard of a shack being out there wonder if it is a new thing. They dont show any shelters on the trail maps for that area.

there was a pilot butte shack but it burnt down during the night of January 1. Nobody was hurt and nobody knows exactly what happened. At this time the local club is considering their options for rebuilding but I don't know if a final decision has been made.

thanks I did here that one did burn down and they were going to rebuilt not sure what was happening I never did ever see a shack out there ever so i though I would ask rather than sled aroung and search.

The shack has was replaced on Friday. Members are a little worried about making the shack public knowledge because of vandalism. I don't believe that any fellow sledder could do something like this but the notion is still there. I just joined last year but they have had issues in the past and now the fire, which everyone is unsure of how it started.
The shack is open to the public but if you would like to use it on a regular basis they would like you to join the club, only $25/year.
