Looking for some insight on decent places to stay with trail access and some decent amenities. A restaurant/bar within walking distance would be great.

If you go to Eveleth there is a Super 8 to stay at and they are a meber of MNUSA so I think they offer a discount if you are a member of a club. The phone number is 218-744-1661 the Owners name is Bill Aho,super nice guy, and there is a Subway and a bar restaraunt called Goodfellas, and a Yamaha and Polaris and Harley dealer across the highway from it, we also park our groomer in the parking lot next to a garage there, the trail starts there in the parking lot and across the road in front of Five Seasons Sports Center, you can go to either Virginia from there north or south a little and then east to Gilbert and over to Biwabik from there

In Virginia there is an Americinn next to the Sawmill Rest. but no trail from there to a groomed trail except the ditches and the cops have been kind of pricky about where you ride from there..to get to the trail. I'd stay at the super ,much nicer anyways..

if it is still close enough for you try the casino in Tower. Right on the trail and food there and not far out of town.

Only thing is the price at the Casino is double what it will be at the Super 8. I try not to give the Indians any money if I can help it..

We paid 79 per night for a corner room with a balcony that overlooked where we parked our sleds. It had two queen beds a fridge and we had four guys staying.
