Well we've been riding for ten years now and we're looking for a new place to try. We've always stayed at Le Central or Le Cabanon. I've enjoyed the trips out of these two places but would like to try something new. Where can we stay that has a little night life, a couple options for resturants and has the same quality of trail conditions. Let me know what you guys think!?

Thanks,
Nick

Hey Nick,

I know the area quite well and as for night life unfortunately those are pretty well the places. I know just about everything single lodge within 100 miles from there and thats the most happening places. You're not in Downtown Montreal there LOL !!!

If your willing to change areas. I can suggest a few good hot spot. Ever consider Mont Tremblant. Its probably one of the most happening places in the north and is close enough to the snowmobiling hub. Mont Laurier is also a good hub area and has a few bars.

From the us border how many hours are you willing to drive ??? What are you guys really looking for ???

How long will you be staying here and what area do you prefer ??? Further up north, out east, Gaspé area or Les Mont Valin. What kind of snowmobilers are you guys ??? Like to do lots of touring miles ??? Off trail riding, into senic spots ?? Let me know and I'll give you some good suggestions, I've been all over the province....

I'm located about an hour and 45 min from Montreal. I'd be willing to drive 5 hours or so.... St Michelle is about 4 hours for us. I'm not looking for real crazy night life, just a place to have a few beers and hang out with other riders. If the hotel has a hot tub thats a bonus too! We've stayed at other places and have been the only ones there, not my idea of fun! We do mostly day trips, in and out, and anywhere from 180 to 250 miles a day seems to be enough.

Thanks for you help!

Hotel Gouverneur in Shawinigan is a great place to do day rides out of. Secure parking for both truck and sleds. Has a hot tube with pool and a few local restaurants and bars.

We've been all over Quebec and keep going back to St. Michel. The Central is probably about the best place to stay up there if you want a hot tub and good bar.

do most these places offer back country riding/mountain riding or is it mostly grommed trail ridding? I've skied Trembant, but never sledding in quebec..If so where is best location for this type of riding?

Thanks
