if there is anyone else here from wisconsin? where you located? i am in eau claire, wisconsin. and if anyone is interested in riding up in this area let me know i ride all i can lol. and we have a trip planned for feb 20th to eagle river, wisconsin. we rented a 5 bedroom cabin thats sleeps 10 for 320 a night, we only have a total of 3 couples right now. so if interested let us know. its 213 a couple right now but the more that comes the cheaper it is. and it does not have to be a gf or wife we just started this as a couple of buddies wanting to ride somewhere besides here. and you can leave the gf's behind.

I'm from Galesville, a little south of you. How old are you? I heard you guys were supposed to get some snow 2nite. Let me know how much you get may have to go up there to ride. I go to E.R. or Hurley at least once a year, usually during the Derby.

I'm also from good 'ol EC
The derby is in Eagle River. My in-laws have a place just north of there and my friend has a cabin in Mercer so we spend as much as possible up that way.
I have heard the trails around here are not in the greatest shape...I am really surprised Dunn county actually opened

From Spring Green here guys! Living in the big city of Plain for now though. We lost our house in Spring Green to the June floods. I'm 40, the Mrs. is 42 and we're ready to hit some trails. So far only have about 180 miles this year. Maybe we'll get out on Sunday if things open up around here. The latest snow was supposed to be 6-9", got 3. They hit that one on the head, AGAIN. When will they learn that the storms form the northwest just don't bring the big dumps?? We have a trip planned for Eagle River in February. Headin' for The Hiawatha Motor Inn for the President's Day Ride weekend Feb 11th-15th. Anyone else going? Can't wait to get up there and show my wife some real trails. Be safe guys!!!!!

I'm from Menomonie here (21yrs old). I live on the West side of Minneapolis now, but I am in Menomonie every weekend working on sleds. The trail goes right through my parents property so it makes trail riding pretty easy!
Also have some friends in River Falls, Eleva/Strum, Rice Lake, Iron River/Brule and Hurley...too bad none of them are Doo guys!
I'm leaving for West Yellowstone this Friday and will be out there for a week! It's my first trip, but the guys I am going with have been going for the last 5 years, and for one guys dad it is his 14th trip out there. Should be a blast!

Depends, if they are taken care of the trails are awesome. But groomers seem to be lazy around here. If you go on a weekend they get trashed really fast...there is a lot of traffic in the area. We went out sat about noon and the trails were beautiful, when we were heading back around 9pm, they were horrid. There are also a lot of mountain wannabes around, who ride there mountain sleds with 2" paddle tracks on our trails. While I was out, I counted 9 different summits, or rmks, or other mtn sleds. I just dont get why people wanna wreck it for the rest of us...you dont need 2" paddles on 8" of packed snow. Hoping for some more snow sometime soon, we have a decent base down...just need a bit more to make things great.
