Any further thoughts? New to the Adirondack region. Looking for the best drop spots, heading from Saratoga to ride the Old Forge or any other system.

Thanks!

I just found your post. Obviously it is a little too late. I case that you are still wondering, there is alot of good local riding around Saratoga. Depending upon where you are located, there are several trails that can et you to the Charleton Trails, Galway Trails, and to Sacandaga Lake. If you are still looking for some information, please feel free to contact me.

Not a problem. Give me a shout sometime and I tell as much as you want. If you want to ride a round the Saratoga/Ballston Spa area, I would suggested becominjg of a member of the East Galway Trail Blazers SC, Mulleyville SC, or Charleton SC. Anyone of thier trail systems are good and all cover alot of distance.

Just came across this thread... I'm in the ballston lake area and just joined the Charlton club, I'd be interested in how the riding is in saratoga and how far the trails will take you. The snow around here sucks now but maybe the storm this weekend will bring good news. Anyone want to meet up for a ride?

If any of you local guys want to ride, let me know. I am always up for it. Went today to Indian Lake and rode up to Big Moose.

I live in Saratoga and have yet to hit any local trails in the last 2 years here. Would be willing to do so, if we had enough snow. This weekend should dump on some of the area.

line em' up
So where can you drop off in the Saratoga Springs area to ride? I live in the area also and would love to do some good local riding when there's snow.

I've lived in Saratoga for a long time. The mulleyville trail system has drop points all over. There's a few in greenfield. There one right by Village Pizza right off rte 29 in Galway. We ride a lot of fields and trails in the Wilton area out passed the mall. I just moved over off Rowland St. so i'm curious to explore the trails over here which i know connect to the Charlton Trails somehow. I'm always up for rding with others so get ahold of me on here. I here we should be getting some snow this weekend. A buddy and i are probably gonna head out to tug hill in couple weeks too if anyone is interested.

How is the Mulleyville system?

No gas, little food but the trails are great. They do need lots of snow because is is very rocky.
You can park on fox hill road. Check out there web site just google mulleyville.

At first I thought this weekend was going to dump on us, but now I'm hearing otherwise!

But if any of you local guys come up with a ride be sure to post up about it or get my attention
