A quick way to check your ride height by Hygear Suspension
  • Make sure your sled is sitting on a hard level surface without dolly wheels or blocks under the ski's or track
  • Check that your limit straps are in the full extended length or stock position
  • Set your front shock spring preload so there is approximately 2" of free sag at the front bumper.
  • Set the coupling blocks rotation, with the thin side facing the rear.
  • With rider and riding gear sitting on the sled. Make sure there is a sufficient amount of movement before the suspension becomes coupled
  • Add or remove torsion spring preload with the cam adjusters to reach the desired setting.

We recommend using the torsion spring system for the ride height setting only! We do not recommend using torsions springs for comfort or bottoming resistance. A simple thing to remember is to set your springs for the rider's weight and ride height. Valve your shocks for comfort, and control on rough terrain. Your shocks are designed to dampen movement. Your springs are designed to hold you up!
Torsion Spring Spacers

Hygear Suspension's Torsion spring spacer kits add preload to the rear torsion spring system by increasing its preload and effective rate during compression. This spacer kit is simple add on that is designed to help you achieve the proper ride height setting of your rear suspension system.
Note: Torsion spacers are not available for the Ski-Doo SC5 rear suspension
