Hi All

We are hoping to visit Labrador this winter and I am searching for a GDB file of the current waypoints for the trails shelters etc. I started using an older map I found on the net but as I input the coords I found several errors. I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance

We are in the early planning stages and our wish list is to do both the Fermont - Port Cartier trail and the coastal route through Rigolet and Cartwright -south shore. May even get to your neck of the woods if time permits. Any info you have would be appreciated.

Andy the coastal route can be tricky and you will want to reseach it very well. I have not personaly done it but I have friends that have. A few of there group no longer snowmobile if that is an indication. Myles Obrien at Obriens Sales and Service in Lanses au Loup is familiar with that stretch of Labrador and would give you some good insight. I'm pretty sure there is not much ice in front of Rigolet. I think because of the race going to postville that the trail from GB should be in groomed well and in excellant condition.

I am meeting with a old friend of mine who lives in Red Bay Labrador over the Christmas season here in Moncton to gather more info about this journey. Is the course set for the 2009 race yet? Is it going to Postville?

Nothing is official yet but I'm confident that Postville, Makkovic and Rigolet will be in the mix. There will be a lot of traffic going to to P-ville on the groomed trail in March.

Groomer is half way to Postville today. We took a run up on the weekend and its marked and in good shape. Ran the coast back to Rigolet and that's a little more work.
